Local SEO in Dubai: show up on Google Maps when people nearby search for you

When someone in Dubai searches “dentist near me” or “AC repair JLT”, Google often shows a map with three businesses above the websites. Local SEO is the work that gets you into that map, and keeps you there.

Local SEO is part of our SEO service: from AED 3,100/month + AED 2,000 set-up (≈ €750 + €500). Google Business Profile, reviews, directories and area pages, in one monthly service.

It includes your Google Business Profile. Written, in 7 days, no call needed. Here’s what the free audit includes.

Local SEO, SEO agency or SEO expert: which page is this?

This page is only about local search: the map, your Google Business Profile, reviews and the pages that win “near me” searches in each area of Dubai.

Our full service, with technical SEO, content and AI search, is on the SEO agency in Dubai page. Who does the work, and how, is on the SEO expert in Dubai page. Same service and same price on all three.

Why the map matters in Dubai

In our check of 199 UAE searches for marketing and business services (29 October and 4 November 2026), a map pack appeared on 124 of them.

Google says local results are “mainly based on relevance, distance, and popularity” (Google Business Profile Help, checked 2026-11-04):

  • Relevance: how well your profile matches the search. Categories, services and the words on your website.
  • Distance: how far you are from the person searching. You can’t change it. What you can do is list the areas you really serve, so customers know where you work.
  • Prominence: how well known you are, based on things like links to your site and how many reviews you have.

The same page says there’s no way to pay for a better local ranking. Local SEO works on relevance and prominence, because those are the two you control.

What our local SEO services in Dubai include

1. Google Business Profile, set up and kept up to date

Your profile is the listing Google shows on the map. We set the main category and the secondary ones, your services, opening hours, photos and the link to the right page of your site.

If you visit clients instead of receiving them, you’re a service-area business. Google says you should hide your address and list the areas you serve instead: up to 20 cities or areas, not a radius (Google’s service area rules).

Two rules catch many businesses in Dubai. A virtual office isn’t eligible for a Business Profile. A co-working desk only counts with clear signage, staff there during business hours and customers received there (Google’s profile guidelines). We check yours before anything else, because a profile that breaks them can be suspended.

2. Name, address and phone the same everywhere (NAP)

Your business name, address and phone number (NAP) appear in many places: your website, your profile, directories. If your website says one number, your profile another and a directory a third, inconsistent details across the web confuse customers and can make it harder for Google to match listings to you.

We list every place you appear, then write your details one way and fix each listing. The business name goes in as your real-world name, as on your signage, with no keywords added: Google doesn’t allow extra information in the name.

3. Citations in UAE directories

A citation is any listing that mentions your business: directories, maps, chambers and sector platforms. We list you on the ones that matter for your sector in the UAE, such as Yellow Pages UAE, Bing Places and Apple Business Connect, and on the directories that already rank for your service.

We use free listings first. Anything paid, we show you the price and you decide.

4. Reviews, asked for the right way

Reviews count towards prominence, and they’re what people read before calling. We set up a simple routine: a message with a direct link to your profile, sent after every finished job, and a reply to every review, good or bad.

What we won’t do: pay for reviews, offer discounts for them or ask only the happy clients. Google’s policy bans both incentives and selectively asking for positive reviews (Google’s review policy), and the reviews can be removed.

5. Area pages for each part of Dubai you serve

People search by area: Dubai Marina, JLT, Business Bay, Al Barsha. If you serve an area, a page on your site for it helps you rank there.

Each area page carries something real about that area: the services you offer there, your prices, how long you take to arrive, the projects you’ve done there. We don’t publish twenty copies of the same page with the area name swapped. Google’s spam policies call these doorway pages, and visitors notice.

6. English and Arabic

Many Dubai searches are in English. Others are in Arabic, and if you sell to consumers, UAE consumer law requires information for consumers in Arabic, with other languages allowed alongside (Federal Law No. 15 of 2020, art. 26).

We set up the technical side for both languages: separate pages, hreflang so Google shows each visitor the right version, and your profile details. The Arabic text itself is written or reviewed by a native speaker, quoted separately before we start.

Local SEO by type of business

BusinessWhat local SEO usually fixes first
ClinicsTreatment categories on the profile, a page per treatment and branch, and content approved by your Medical Director before going live. More in healthcare marketing for clinics
Real estate brokeragesOne profile per office with its own area pages. Property content carries its Trakheesi permit number, obtained by your broker
Home and on-site servicesService-area profile without a public address, the areas you really cover and reviews after every job
Shops, restaurants and showroomsAddress, hours and photos kept current, plus the “near me” searches for what you sell

What we won’t do

  • Put keywords in your business name, or create profiles at addresses where you don’t receive customers.
  • Buy reviews, post fake ones or hide the negative ones.
  • Publish area pages with nothing on them but the area name.
  • Promise first place on the map. Distance depends on where the person searching is, and Google decides the ranking.

Proof: what we can and can’t show

We don’t have a local SEO client case in the UAE to show you yet, and we won’t borrow one.

Our published client results are from ad campaigns for businesses in Spain, not from SEO. You can see the results we can show, labelled as such.

What we can do is show you your own situation first: the free audit checks your Google Business Profile, your listings and your area pages, in writing, before you pay anything.

There’s no separate “local SEO package”: local SEO is included in the SEO service. “From” means one website and one location. More branches, a second language or many area pages add work, and we quote it in writing first.

Prices exclude VAT. If VAT applies, it is added at the legal rate and shown on the invoice. Invoiced by LEADS AND FUNNELS MARKETING FZCO, licensed by IFZA in Dubai (licence 75650).

Frequently asked questions

There’s no official average: prices in Dubai vary widely, and many providers don’t publish them. Ours is part of the SEO service, from AED 3,100/month plus AED 2,000 set-up for one website and one location. Whoever you choose, ask for the price in writing and for what each month includes. For published local SEO packages in Dubai, see what SEO costs in Dubai.

It usually is if your clients come from a specific area and search before they call: clinics, home services, shops and offices people visit. It’s less useful if you sell online across the whole country and nobody needs to find you on a map. The free audit tells you which case you’re in.

Start with your Google Business Profile: claim or create it, pick the right category, list your services and areas, and make your name, address and phone match your website. Then ask every client for a review and add pages for the areas you serve. That’s also the order we follow.

If you visit clients, you can hide your address, but it must be a real place where your staff work during business hours: a mailing address or virtual office doesn’t qualify. To show an office on the map, a co-working space also needs clear signage and customers received there.

No. Google’s policy doesn’t allow incentives for reviews, such as payment, discounts or free services, and reviews posted because of one can be removed. Ask every client the same way, and reply to every review.

Fixes to your profile can show within weeks. Reviews and citations build prominence month by month, so judging local SEO fairly takes a few months. We report what moved every month, with the numbers.
